Default Another Suggestion for CSS

This is from an idea in my previous poll plus some more ideas that i came up with =p

Suggestion 2: What happened to the quake sounds that the server makes whenever you get a headshot or when your on a rampage? Usually this gives me a boost and i think I'm doing better than I am thus making it more fun
but it may make the server laggier.

Both suggestions are a no go.

Quake sounds = more unecessary crap to download thus cutting down our random joins. Im actually going to be getting rid of more sounds that we already have.

First suggestion = No go unless you can write code... well.

Well one possible concern with the sounds is the one that goes "HOLY SH--", as that word isn't allowed . I'm sure some could be added though, I'm not entirelly sure why they were taken off in the first place. I personally loved it when it said "HUMILIATION" when you knifed someone lol.

I personally don't think we need anything to make nades easier . I like how it is now, you just get one shot so you have to be careful with it.

(edit) Yeah DP is right, dl'ing lots of sounds can get very tedious.

IMO Getting a nade kill shouldn't be that easy. Being able to knife for another nade would be a small (nice) change that would help the game move along faster; but I think having a pistol would make nade level too easy. This may sound funny, but I think that with nade being as difficult as it is, it generates a bit of excitement when you finally get your kill.

You got a point, I was once on a server that nade lvl was like our warmup round and it was really easy. I guess the glock makes it easier but not greatly. Plus can any of you write code? Guess that would help..

Like I said on the other thread, I know there's a plugin for the suggestion I mentioned out there and I think I know who to go to about it, it's just a matter of me finding it. I'll let you know if I can accomplish that.

However, the idea is getting some mixed reactions. Seems like everyone is generally happy with the server now (myself included) and all I can say is "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".

I would say quake sounds should be for normal CS:S, it would prob persuade people to gun whore more to get "ultra kill"s etc

If that's true, than a "humiliation" sound for knife kills, should decrease whoring?

I don't think quake sounds are necessary. Maybe they'd generate excitement for a few days - couple weeks, but I can see them getting very, very annoying.

Coding for the knife thing shouldnt be hard.
Use Event Scripts, and write a quick script.
Sortof
if killed with knife
then do this

How do you think they do the sound play on events like nade kill, etc? Just switch the product.
