Lesson learned - just because someone is a jerk first, doesn't give you the right to be a jerk as well... either votekick/ban, wait for admin support, mute the guy, or if it's really that bad - play elsewhere for awhile...

The other guy was probably banned as well if it's any consolation - anyways, if you really would like to appeal, PM a mod with your issue/an apology and they will forward your appeal to whoever we have in charge of the servers

Too bleedin' right mate! No excuse for any 'isms (imho). I had a similar issue a couple years ago on TF. Took it straight to the admins irc and got the admin who banned me (for defending my friend from racism) banned himself lol.
