So, I had a complaint a while ago about intentional teamkilling, and I hoped that would sort everything out. Unfortunately for us all, that did nothing, except make me the receiving end of a LOT of harassment. That's fine, I can deal with that, but today I had a very similar thing happen.

When I first joined today, it was James bond 007 and I, knifing, shooting, whatever. Then {sfc} A.s.s.a.s.s.i.n joined up, and we had a ball. Anyway, as the maps changed, more people started joining, and apparently some people wanted to knife.

I didn't feel like it. I'm not forced too, it's a GunGame server as we all know, so shooting is NOT against the rules. After a while of shooting and people yelling at me with their sailor mouths, things went in a different direction. First of all, I had kgsprintcar (of course) freaking out at me, along with Fowlett, and some other people, and they all wanted admins to join so they could ban me. Yeah.

This went on for a while, until I was camping behind a pillar / wall and got scouted by a teammate in the back of the head. Assassin, after killing me that one match, proceeded to shoot me until I had very low health every following match, so I would die very easily.

Pretty soon people I didn't recognize were joining. One by the name of Officer, who also felt like shooting. The first thing I hear is form Fowlett, he's pretty stern.

"Put the gun away NOW Officer!"
(Officer doesn't)
"We will teamkill you Officer!"
(Officer attempts to run)
(Officer gets teamkilled by Fowlett)
"If you don't put your gun away next round I will teamkill you again!"
"If we witness you opening fire we will teamkill you, Officer!"

That's just from Fowlett.

I have no problems with knifing, knifers, or gunwhores. I generally like people in the game, but I don't feel people who want to play a certain way, whether it be knifing or shooting, should be subjected to this sort of harassment. We are not breaking any rules, even though you may think we are, and you want us banned.

I like the OCN server, but I don't think I can play on it much more, the people that join seem to have tunnel vision and won't hesitate to teamkill, or blatantly harass you at any time if you don't play their way.

The GAME, yes, it is a game, is made to be fun, which means that anyone playing is playing, primarily I hope, to have fun. You guys think knifing is fun, I think shooting is fun. If you want to knife and not worry about people shooting, go to a knifing server, instead of not having any fun and yelling at people who want to play differently.

To reiterate, it's a gungame server, shooting is allowed. But, yeah, the harassment has gotten pretty bad, too.

You've already made a very similar thread, and DigitalPhreak and other members of OCN have made it clear that intentional teamkilling will not be tolerated. This thread seems to be a (no offense) "Tattle-tail Thread." If you are having a problem with specific people that play on Overclock's GG server I suggest you go directly to an admin, and if it's really bad you should PM the head admin DigitalPhreak.

Ok i was there today.

Some people did take it too far

it wasnt harrasment until you provoked it, it got worse that way

you are correct no rules are being brocken

but you are not at all nice, we asked you to not shoot those who are kniving. I think that is fine because your not ruining any1 elses fun.

the poing of gungame is to have fun but it wasnt. Again Die hard knife whores taking it too Far. but come on if you tried it im sure you would enjoy it

by all means shoot, you could have respect for those choosing to otherwise atleast to let us play our own game ( no that does not involve tk, that was isolated incident

The other thread is closed, so I was unable to bump it. What's the difference between Pm'ing with people's names and no proof than making a thread? As other people have mentioned, they have had similar problems. I don't know if a demo would be able to help when it's an entire server, and I think demo's don't record sound.

Any screen capture devices for linux?

Yup, seen this before a couple times also. There are many non-admins that think they control the server. One reason I think we need more admins. Ever since MarkUK3 left I pretty much disable voice chat cause its intolerable. Dawlfish, when you want to play knife only please just go to a knife only server.

We did crazy, i and some others stud in a corner and waited till he died, if were being technical tht is not against the rules.

he is making out it was the whole server doing what he described when it was not it was two at most. it just seems you just want to tattle tale and talk to people in game.

why would i join a knife only server when i can knife with other people on the server i like its forcing me to go sumwhere else.

i personally dont care what paper linux does or does not do ill knife anyway

You go in there and you will get SHOT, regardless of whether you have a knife. That is the point of using a knife, so take down a shooter........If you get out a knife then you automatically agree to become an easy target for shooter, end of!

I'm sorry this has happened again Pap3r, seems like there needs to be more admins on the server.
