I know you guys have other things to do and some have some outlying circumstances to keep them from being active (Zink's mission, Tycho's fried video card, etc.), but the amount of morons joining the gungame server recently with no one there to do anything about it is staggering.

Case in point: Mike Rowe Soft
He had two disgusting pornographic sprays (and when I say "disgusting", I mean it). Also proceeded to team kill me every round after i accidentally killed him with a grenade.

Exhibit B: unconnected
Not sure if admins can do anything about this, but someone named "unconnected" (with no spot on the "mute" menu) has joined the server more than once spamming intensely loud scream tracks into the mic from HLSS.

I'm not saying admins have to play more (although it would be nice), but the number of admins available to help out on Steam's communication system seems to have dwindled recently from one or two to zero. In situations with people like these above, someone should be able to do something.

Yeah we can get the unconnected guys, it just is a little harder to pinpoint them. Have you tried typing status, it's probably the same guy so we need his steam if it shows up.

Please take down steam IDs in the future and IM or PM one of us with the details so we can take care of the riff raff while no one is on. Its sort of a busy time of the year in RL for most people (vacations, holidays, home improvement projects etc.) so please bear with us. I have also been playing a little more reg cs lately as to not get burnt out on gungame. I will be tending to the server over the next few weeks for stats reset and re-configuration of the gungame server. Its all coming, please have patience.

Yeah if there is a problem on the server you can try to PM me or another admin here. We usually get e-mail notification of a PM, so as soon as an admin is at the computer they should be able to take care of it.

I completely agree.

The only active ones now are Hellscream and Zink, bunnie hasn't even logged into steam in 20 days, digi's somewhat active, tycho's card, and as crazy pointed out, he's going to be out of commision beating Diablo 2 all over again. and again. And again.

I think we should get a few new admins who are always on the server every day at least once.

I'll suggest Bloodlust, Taysir, and Fatdaddy.

i have seen unconnected and i am on a lot on the server and today there was hackers with aim bots and some guy named errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr and i was wondering how do you become and admin because i would like to become one so i can kick those ppl

Basically our requirements are:

- Be active on the server AND the overclock.net forums (In case something important pertaining to administrating the server comes up, you need to be able to see it here on the forums)
- Follow all the rules here and on the server
- Have a respectful and helpful attitude.

DigitalPhreak is the head admin, and he would be the one to contact about becoming one. Keep in mind that we might not be looking for a new admin when you ask, so you may have to be patient. Also those requirements aren't official or anything, but I think they're a good guideline to follow.

I would be admin but Digi doesn't like the fact that I don't wear pants. I told him I would take the tag off while on server. I have a few years of admin exp. Plus I have plenty of problems with ppl usin the unconnected name. Steam really needs to fix that crap. But most of the time when u do status the steamid with no name next to it is the unconnected person. I think u can set it up to were it bans immediatly by name. So if anyone trys to use the unconnected name banned instanly. My thoughts
