FYI, some regulars are saying that the walk speed was fixed and normal yesterday but yet is back to what it was before it was fixed again today (flying off staircases, etc.). I'll check for myself in a second and edit with what I think.

EDIT: The max speed that you run at seems fine. However, it's still definitely faster than the default change direction acceleration. You can switch directions you are running way too quickly. Would appreciate a fix ASAP.

Also, the time limit needs to be extended about 10-15 minutes for a map. I think it was at about 35 minutes before the rebuild, but it seems way shorter than that now. Somewhere around 30 would be perfect.

I concur, when you go a direction other them forwards/backwards it still moves too fast.

I think that the time for the knife battle also needs to be lengthened.

The knife battles should be short, we don't need to watch people dancing all day long.

Most of the time in knife fights people end up either running around or strafing around the map until the last 10 seconds anyway. As long as there is enough time to get to where the other person is, then it is plenty of time.

Would it be too much trouble to raise the sv_maxrate to a value of "50000"

I did this to my personal CS:S server and with 20+ people, the difference in choke and updaterate is MASSIVE

Gameservers.com is a good host, use their damn bandwidth man.. they got boxes with gigabit networking

our counterstrike server is with nuclear fallout hosting... (nfo)

and I got G.skill boy telling me to take it down to 25k, and ur're requesting ti to go to 50k...

the bigger it is the more overhead on the server bandwidth... 25k may help us, 50k will hurt us... I mean we already get ~50 choke/ person when it starts to get over 20+ people...

directional acceleration... hrmmm.. I mean currently

friction is 4
wateraccel is 10
airaccel is 10
and groundaccel is 5

there is no setting for directional acceleration... anyone know the cvar we're looking for?

It should be sv_accelerate.
