OCN TF2 Fun Server - Overclock.net

Hey, Remember when we got the new TF2 server thanks to the awesome people at www.gameservers.com? Seeing as their servers are so fast and reliable, they said we're allowed to keep the older TF2 server, on the basis that we can fill it up just as much as the new one.

We've decided to make it a fun server. What does this mean?
Roll the dice. Insta-respawns. Custom maps. Maybe, even mod based maps.

Now, I have the old server running with currently with the same settings as the new server [minus the fact the new server is 3x faster]. What fun sever style settings would you like to see? Please, post the name of the map/mod and what it does. Thanks!

it's a must have for fun

custom maps usually kill servers tbh

rtd is a must as well as instaspawn

We need to drop it to a 24 slot server.

Also we are looking into some good training maps to put on the server (only in the menu, not rotation) so we can go in and practice.

Also, are we going to get Arena maps back in the menu on the new server?

I had planned on doing that to reduce choke. 24-26 seems nice.

Training maps is a given [shhhh], but what options should we have for the public besides the basics?

Arena maps should be in the admin menu in the new server, as well as in votemap. Since koth are all the range, they show up with PL maps before arena maps in the new server, but the arena maps are there.

It's a good idea, but I' have to spam the fact you can vote_ban people [for a hour, max] because there will be mic spammers. I think there are plug-ins to stop that so that if the mic is on longer than 10-15 seconds, you're warned and then kicked.

As for custom maps, I mean super popular ones. Not random custom toy story maps haha.

Hmm, wonder if this has anything to do why the OCN server disappeared from my favorites o.O

Can someone throw me the ip address to our OCN server/s so I can re-favorite them?

I'm going to update the OCN TF2 thread now that we get to keep the old one. Just think OCN TF2 ServerS, woot.
