Wow guys, I would ask you make it incumbent and only accept those that are X86 verified as there's many bugs with software, overclocking software and when overclocking through the use of PLL.

Such as this attached image.

Uhh, whatever that means...

American Nightmare's is verified...see the CPU-Z number on the bottom left side of his pic? While the pic KTE posts, shows no such verification number.

So really, your submission violates your own statement...nice.

What?

I said, the picture in my post is a classic example of faulty CPUZ readings. So only verifications can count as legitimate. Hopefully you understand now.

Nothing to do with AmericanNightmare's post.

You implied it was a fake..

Really, this is a verification thread. Everyone knows that CPU-z can read funky things sometimes..most all of the posts I have seen if not verified, are genuine, showing superpi times or some other benchmark score + system vitals and CPU-Z..I believe you are the first to post a fake pic. Why not just post a real one for the comparison chart?

I implied what was fake? The picture I attached? That's the only one I said was wrong.

That's not fake but it's close enough to be because it's not the real frequency either. That frequency is impossible on that processor, it's a faulty (high) motherboard PLL reporting higher clock speeds when overclocked. Other software will prove the same.

The point of posting it was as an example to be aware. Ask CPU-Z developers Franck and Samuel if Core 2 can experience the same faulty readings or not, and they'll let you know it does and has. Only a verification can prove or negate that.

My intention was to ask the OP to accept only those with an X86 verification.

That's not a fake, you can ask CPUZ developers, they know about it.

The stock normal clocks are irrelevant since they're so old. Stock is 1300MHz. I'm busy posting elsewhere for now and work+studies, but once I get time and do a little writeup (with all benchmarks) I'll post the link for you to see for yourself and a video. If you want to see a lot more earlier, just PM me.

Speaking of benchmarks, if you trust any single benchmark which you believe is "fool proof" then you might aswell name it now, and I'll try running it too when I get access.

Ones I will name that do show the real frequency effects best and cannot be fooled are Cinebench and encode/decode/compression/decompression benches.

This isnt a discussion thread..it is for verification comparisons..if your not going to post a CPU-Z shot for the comparison chart, then start a 'complaining about CL3P20' thread elsewheres.

cheers!
