20,000 on 3dMark05 I'll have to run 3dMark01 again. I forgot score. It was low compared to other HD5850s though.

With same settings I score P18,200 on Vantage and 24,400 on 3dMark06.

24k for a single card on Mark06 is very impressive. I only get 21.8K with GTX260's in SLI and 4.5ghz dual

The card is a beast.

However i still don't know why my 3dMark01 and 3dMark05 scores don't scale well compared to my Vantage and 3dMark06 scores.

my friend got about 26k at 3dmark05.. Q9550 4ghz, stock HD5850..

Mine does a decent 3dMark06, 3dMark03, and Vantage.

20,000 3dMark05 is way low for what my card should be doing.

My CPU is at 4.3GHZ and HD5850 is at 1060/1260

Are you comparing your scores to I7 and latest Phenom systems? If yes, then have you given any thought to your Processor? I think it might bottleneck the card even at that frequency. This is the only explanation left if you ruled out all driver/software issues.

A while back a mate of mine was in desperate need for a gc so I lent one of my 4890s. Vantage scores on a Q6600 were simply horrid . Now he has an I7 and 5870 and he is cruching those numbers like pumpkin pie.
