well in 03 I bought my first computer which was 1400 but just recently I decided to build my own and spent around 3 grand... I doubt I will be spending that again anytime soon as my money has to go to other hobbies also

I spent right at $1000 in 2007 on computer stuff and this year I'll be spending right at $1600. Hopefully in 2009 I will spend only a few hundred.
