I use wide view, but I keep switching between my 19 Flat screen, and a widescreen, because still haven't truly upgraded.

Widescreen 1680x1050 at home. Dual monitors with different resolutions I don't feel like checking at work.
Used to use a CRT with 1600x1200 resolution for 5 years, played UT2004 in 1680x1050 for 10 minutes before I was off to Best Buy to pick up my Acer 22".

I'm usually on a 22'' or 24'', but for web browsing i often use one of my old computers on crts @ 1024x768... I sort of tend to use 5 or 6 monitors at once it keeps my ADD at bay to be able to jump between different things constantly.

I tried the wide view but everything was so spread out, I prefer fixed (I voted wrong). If there were more things on the wide view, like if everything moved up to fill in gaps, that would be great. I like the small boxes of information as opposed to a giant stripe with one line of text across my monitor.
