Default Dice Runs (E8600)

These are my first DI runs and I'm still learning to use it effectively.

These are on a E8600, I have a E7200 I'll probably do next week that I could hit 4545Mhz on water with.

I'm hitting a wall at 575 FSB with the E8600.

My fastest suicide run....CPU-Z 5751Mhz Suicide

There are more pic's in this thread also...E8600 Dice Run

awesome awesome awesome

Looks like that new DICE pot is serving you well. haha

Not gonna lie, a 45nm chip with 1.648 volts DOES make me cringe on the inside a little.

Thanks. Hopefully I'll get a little better with it as I go along.

Being at -78C or so helps to protect the chip to a certain extent, but you don't do that to any chip without expecting it to die.

Thanks Guys! No the only thing I've done to this mobo is a pencil mod to help with v-droop, and actually it got rubbed off after a month or so.....Its a real stable mobo with plenty of v-core,v-dimm and NB volts already. I really like that little thing, I don't know if its the mobo or the chip but I've hit a wall with one or the other at a 575FSB. I've really put the volts to it with no effect, I just cant get past it..

I just did another 6 hours straight and didn't improve any of my scores. The bad part is I still have another 20 or so pounds of dry ice I need to use and after 3 straight days of 6 to 10 hour long benching runs I'm getting tired of it now. Its good experience to set and bench that much with it day after day, I've learned alot and that will make it easier and faster for me the next time I do it. I'm just not buying over 20 pounds at a time, this 50 pounds has worn me out...

I get it at a grocery store here, its a $1.09 a pound. So for around $20 you can bench for a good day and a half. Just seal the ice chest up with duct tape around the seam and put some blankets or something around it to really insulate it well. I try not to open it up much, I have a smaller cooler that I'll put about 5 pounds in, thats enough to do around 6-8 hours.

Hey have you put me into third place on SPI 1M yet? I hope so, someone will beat that pretty soon ....I want the glory for a day or two anyway.....I'm shooting for second now, thats going to be rough, he's under 8 seconds with Ln2.
