Does "external link" include links to newegg and etc?

Meaning: Are we not allowed to put links to products on the Egg?

3) If you're running x64 OS and have more than 3GB ram installed but windows is only reporting around 3GB, Go into your bios and enable Memory remapping.

You could not have such a link in your signature, though if it is relevant to a post or thread there is no problem.

Great thread.

There should be a section added that describes Staff Professionalism and Staff Behavior as this seems to be overly directed at OCN members/viewers..and to clean up some controversy that has taken place over the past week.

This thread has been in the works for a while now and is not in response to any particular issue. Being that it is based on general clarifications, it will not include responses to anything specific. It does, however, spell out the proper procedure to voice concerns with staff actions.

With the current exception of links like CPU-Z verifications, links to other sites should not be used in signatures.

I must say that this thread is an excellent way of clarifying the TOS that's been in place for months now. It's all very well and good to elaborate on the rules, but I would love to see them enforced more often. There should be less of the attitude that "oh, so and so's only learning, or "he's trying". That isn't good enough in my opinion. Rules are rules at the end of the day, and as far as I'm concerned nobody ever got flamed, or made a stupid post, by following them.

I totally agree with this thread. I think it would reflect highly on our site as well to have a more professional look. It would not only make some things easier to read, but it would also give credibility to OCN.
