Default Progress on Overclock.net

Hi Guys,

I have been in contact with Admin for the past hour or so, talking about the site and its development in general. I want to let you guys know that a LOT has been happening and that Admin has been VERY active behind the scenes. Just because you don't see him on the "Who's Online" box doesn't mean that he isn't doing backend server updates, software upgrades and general site maintainence.

Now, to the good stuff Check out these two pages, I'm sure you'll find they have been changed a lot.

www.overclockstatus.net
www.overclockshop.com

As you can see, we still have a genuine interest in the peripherals of the site and we are committed to keeping that way. I would encourage you all to ask questions if you have them, as we have been in contact with Admin very frequently and he is planning a lot of things for the site in the soon-time A couple of big things, as well.

An example for all of you: The Wiki. As has been advertised, the Wiki was supposed to be implemented a long time ago. Contrary to what might be thought, Admin did try to implement the Wiki with, well, interesting results. The current hardware couldn't handle it. What is being done to rectify this? Most importantly, Admin is procuring additional hardware to supplement the current Autobots (servers ) and should have it up within a day of getting the new servers.

Anyways, I thought I would give everyone a little heads up on what's been going on behind the scenes, and that Admin is definitely not aloof

I liked how it was saying "upgrading please wait" or somesuch on the main page instead of just giving "page not found" errors earlier today .

Nice to know admin has been secretly spying on us . Err I mean working on the site .

Admin has been working behind the scenes a lot on getting those issues sorted out. The reliability issues have (seemingly) been fixed for now, and with the addition of a new server or two, it should be fixed. With regard to the post order issue, I think that's been sorted. If you still see it, post up in the Technical Issues forum
