Please post in this thread if you are an avid deal hunter/deal seeker. This does not only have to pertain to technology related products.

Would you participate in a deal-oriented community? Do you already?

We are considering a new venture in this space and would love some input.

I am always trying to find good deals... especially when I plan a new build and trying to squeeze the most hardware out of my cash.

A deal hunter? That's me. Granted it is usually for new products and not used, I still love deals!! Matter of fact I am going through grocery ads right now and marking on sale items and matching coupons... lol.... but, it is cash to me when I save so much... I saved 350 dollars by waiting and getting deals on the current rig I have.

I will throw another one out there:

What would you think about the URL: www.Deals.to

Is .to a little too "out-there"?

If we go for anything else, it will be a lot less generic/short.

Yes, I must've posted a dozen things this week!

Love the deal forum here. And to answer your question, yes. But I think what we got going is enough.

Something needs to be done about people posting "free" deals in the freebies section or hot deals in other sections (like the 3870 deal that's in the ATI forum right now).

I'd say we need a hot deals section maybe divided by category (but it could get quite thin) but that could be it. Taeric does a pretty good job managing the deals section but I think if we had someone else to watch over it, more posts could be edited instead of deleted.

Yeah that's me! I got 2 22" LCD monitors for $180! And my rig costs what? Like $1500 retail? I've paid less than $800.

As for the URL, it's ok, but I can't even access it!

The deals community would be custom to the topic. Rating deals hot or cold, region-centric posts etc.

Not to mention it would/could be more than just tech-centric.
