Events Editor Needed - Overclock.net

As part of the changes for 2008 that we outlined in December, we are adding an editorial layer to the community. While we continue to hunt for the perfect Editorial Director, we wanted to offer up another editorial-type position to Overclock.net members.

We have already selected a Downloads Editor and are now looking to add the following position:

Events Editor
The Events Editor is responsible for ensuring Overclock.net provides visitors with a wide variety and steady stream of events that are both educational and fun.

The day to day duties of the Events Editor would entail:

Launching our Ask the Pros live event session where key overclockers from Overclock.net and elsewhere will be commissioned to spend 1 hour answering questions from members in a fully moderated Vent or Chat session
Setting up and managing a roster of fun and/or educational activities that will occur at least on a weekly basis.
Managing a promotional budget to accomplish the tasks

Payment
While the job does not pay in a monetary sense, the Events Editor will have a very important role within the community. The Section Editor badge will be placed in your postbit for as long as you live up to the title.

Expectations

Excellent technical background
A strong contact list / understanding of the top overclockers on Overclock.net and beyond
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A professional approach
An active participant within the community 5+ days a week
An addiction to going above and beyond to call of duty
