I'm guessing hipro5 or JGuru

Q: Do you think the average user can make his own PSU, bringing the level of modding ones computer to a new level?

Make sure you sandpaper the hole, and then put some U rubber over it to avoid sharp edges. Put some grease around the newly drilled hole, and then screw your computer, screw it hard. Maybe install some UV lights and turn em up to indicate that your computer is also excited.

Two linked questions for the Pro:

Q1) To what extent do you believe it is possible to buy a 'futureproof' PSU today?

Q2) Any general guide on the % of total available power you need to start using from a PSU before you get good efficiency, or does this wildy vary?

Q: Does a power supply perform better or worse at certain temperatures? if so can you get more power out of your power supply by cooling it better?

Q: what exactly is the operating temperature of a power supply? is it better to get a power supply with a higher operating temperature, or a lower operating temperature?

I thought Single rails were better.

I would like to discuss why Single Rails are better ( I could be wrong) than multiple 12V rails, and in what scenarios. And what to look for in a PSU that will ensure that the Voltages will be as accurate as they should be.
