Question Overclock.net Performance Computing Team

Overclock.net is exploring the idea of setting up an official Overclock.net Performance Computing Team.

The PCT's role is to aggressively push the limits of overclocking/system performance and represent the community by doing so.

As part of being on the team, PCT members will receive a team grant of $200/month from Overclock.net to put towards the pursuit of performance. In addition, Overclock.net will permit and assist in procuring sponsored components for use by the team. However - this should be looked at as bonus though and should not be relied upon to be able to pursue performance to its fullest.

So what does it take to be a PCT member?
  • A reputation for experimental/extreme overclocking
  • Someone who would be doing this anyway - they have the passion, the skill, the time and the money to compete with the best of them
  • A never-say-never attitude
  • Great communication skills
  • The ability to thoroughly document adventures in pushing the limits
  • A willingness to inspire and assist
If you know of a member who fits this description, please nominate them in this thread.

We want to keep the team small, focused and cohesive in order to best make use of resources. So please restrict nominations to ONLY someone who fits this description perfectly.

Thanks,
admin

Sounds like a great opportunity! I'm going to nominate ncsa, who from a quick peak at the benchmarks board, has the top 3DMark06 score. CyberDruid is an excellent candidate too, but he's already been nominated . Good luck guys! OCN FTW!

This is a great idea. No nomination just commenting.

Will this team be kind of like those ones that use extremely overclocked and cooled systems to break benchie records?
