Section Editor Required: Folding@Home Forum (selected)

Building on the success of our Downloads Editor position, we're going to open a number of other forum-level editor positions in the coming months. The first of these positions is the Folding@Home Editor.

Folding@Home Editor
The FAH Editor is responsible for ensuring Overclock.net provides our folders and those interested in folding with pertinent and useful information related to all aspects of folding.

The day to day duties of the FAH Editor would entail:

• Keeping on top of hardware and software developments related to folding
• Coordinating the Community Folding Project, which among other things will include heading up the selection of hardware to be purchased and employed as part of this project.
• Tracking the progress of our FAH team and our individual folders and alerting the community of upcoming and achieved milestones.

On a regular basis, the FAH Editor is expected to author pertinent guides on topics including but not limited to folding clients and their configurations, folding on different operating systems, and similar topics.

The FAH Editor will not be limited to the duties listed above. He or she will be able to pursue any relevant project which would benefit our folding community.

Payment
While the job does not pay in a monetary sense, the FAH Editor will have a very important role within the community. The Section Editor badge will be placed in your postbit for as long as you live up to the title.

• Excellent technical background with regards to both hardware and software
• Demonstrated dedication to and knowledge of the Folding@Home project
• Excellent communication skills
• A professional approach
• An active participant within the community 5+ days a week
• An addiction to going above and beyond to call of duty

First off, I'd like to thank everyone who applied for this position. I think each of you would do an excellent job with the position, which always makes picking just one person very difficult. The selection was made based on a strong presence in the folding forum, of course, as well as contributions made in other areas of the site, general enthusiasm and attitude (shown around the site and in the application), and several other factors.

I would like to congratulate gibsonnova74 on being selected for this position. While his folding production is nothing short of amazing, the factors listed above were weighed much more heavily in this selection.
