Tagging Overview
The Overclock.net tagging system exists to enhance the classification and searchability of Overclock.net content. For more information on tags, please visit our FAQ on the topic: http://www.overclock.net/faq.php?faq=vb3_board_usage#faq_vb3_tags

The forum-wide tag cloud can be found here: www.overclock.net/tags.php. More tag visualization will come in our next update.


Tag Usage Guidelines
Please make sure all tags:
  • Relate to the core topic of the thread
  • Are factual (not opinion)
  • Obey the rules of the forum
  • Are utilitarian in nature (we are not trying to figure out who can make the most clever tags)
All tagging is logged. Tags are not anonymous. Any misuse of the tagging system will result in warnings or infractions.

I think these may offer the little extra help that search needs to find the correct topics.

It's nice to know that the tags are logged. If we see poor tags should we report the original post of the topic and write something about the tags in the report text?

Yes please do report any tag misuse Just report the thread.

Along with Thread Prefixes (going live shortly), Tags will make our lives much better I think A lot of our new additions to the site will rely on them.
