Bad idea.

If you help someone new who needs help or who doesn't have a lot of rep themselves. They should be able to rep if they find what was posted helpful.

I dont have to worry about this at all, given that i usually forget to rep others for good posts, and no one ever reps me lol....

EDIT-how about simply reviewing all rep given by people with under a certain amount, say 10 them selves. that way they can still use the system, but are much more likely to caught for abusing it. It wouldnt be that hard to scroll down a list of them and pick out bad ones once a day.

I agree with both these statements. The Rep system does work well, no need to change it. Always will be abusers no matter what restrictions u put on it.

i woke up this morning and got on OCN and checked my User CP and i saw a rep saying:

so PMed the dude saying no, it's not tolerated nor is it right. and then i PMed a mod to see if i could get it removed.

But yeah, when i first started, it took me over 2 months to get 35 reps. (and i had really good, helpful posts) slowly but surely it got up there. and it's still creeping up.
