These problems are simply those of a misconception of how the tag system is supposed to be used. If your expectation was to use it as an aide to find spam or denote spam, then you will be dissapointed; this was never the intention. Likewise, if you wanted to find threads that matched your opinion of something you will also be dissapointed.

We know with absolute certainty that the tag system isn't for everyone. There are thousands upon thousands of appropriate tags in our system right now with dozens more being added every day. The system works for those willing to work with the system. For those of you that don't wish to participate there is absolutely nothing standing in your way. We don't mind that you don't use the system, we only require that you not muck it up.

Can any one add a tag to any thread or is there any special requirments? I added tags to a club thread and the most I can add was 5.
