From what I know it does reduce the quality of your graphics so they can render faster meaning that you will gain more FPS.

My friend gained about 25 fps on his fx5200 with this config and he had no problems with sounds at all. If you want to remove the changes just clear the lines you added to exec it.

This doesnt seem to work very well :P i got 999 fps anyways, just wanted to try it out
