169.04 vastly improved my 64-bit experience, so I remain hands-off on the 32-bit version.
1920x1200 now works much better (AA off) with about 1/4 settings at VERY HIGH, and the rest HIGH except shadows and water, which I have on LOW because those things seemed to give a good bump in FPS. 35-50FPS now. FYI: In case any of you are still using FRAPS (like the screenie on previous page), there is a built-in FPS tool. Just open the console (tilde / ~) and type: r_displayinfo = 1 ***EDIT: BTW, 169.04 fixes the application-controlled vSync.
