umm its a little different but The Witcher i found is somewhat similar. its pretty much oblivion and diablo 2 combined.

but once thing is for certain nothing, i repeat nothing can ever replace diablo 2

The closest you'll ever come is Titan Quest. It has better graphics and some more innovative spells and stuff, but I stopped playing it after about 2 weeks. Just doesn't have the same charm to it. If I were to recommend a switch, it would be Titan Quest, but I'm with the many others that say don't bother switching. We ought to get some OCN D2 games going. I know a number of people still play, myself included.

Bad idea. I've played both extensively and I can say that although they look similar on paper, they are not the same experience at all. Titan Quest would be an ok substitute, although I'm not sure how well the multiplayer is doing since I never really tried that part of the game.

The bottom line is nothing will really replace it until Diablo 3

Its like Quake 3...its got such a good following, and its such a great game...you really can't replace it with anything else.

I was/am still addicted to diablo 2...and guild wars did not impress me in the least bit. I just didn't think it compared to the diablo 2 economy/trade system.

Holy Crap i just started playing D2 after 3 years away and its all the same lol. I was unsure of what char to play so i made a Rabies Wolf :P There is no replacement for D2 and I tried WOW and thought it sucked monkey balls. So your stuck with D2.
