Default BSOD when changing resolution in TF2

I get a blue screen of death every time i try to change my resolution in TF2. My comp would even crash if i lowered the resolution. I've installed the latest Nvidia drivers and still no dice. The error message i get is somethign along the lines of "IRQL not less or equal". Anyone know wats wrong?

What is your power supply rated at and what drivers do you have installed currently for the video card? The ones that were supplied when you bought it or updated ones from Nvidia?

Yeah, I agree. It's sounds like a video card driver problem.

Yeah sry about not updating the info. I didn't really know about my computer parts so I left them blank. I updated my drivers again from the nvidia website but my problems seem to have gotten worse and i can't even run tf2 at the lowest resolution smoothly. The version I have is the forceware release 169.25. Also if it helps I crash whenever I change resolutions in any game, not just tf2.

This usually happens when the CPU OC is unstable.
