OK, I know I'm going to catch some flack for this, but I'm used to it...

I have owned Half Life 2 since a April 2006, and I am yet to beat it. I simply reinstall Windows too often. I think I got to Ravenholm or whatever it's called once, and up to that point, the game was spectacular. I may get one of the Hi-Res texture packs (like the on with the super hot Alyx re-skin) and play the game all the way through at some point this summer. It really is one of the better games I have ever played, but I just can't bring myself to play it all the way through.

Power, i understand were you are coming from.

It happened to me

I got to the part were you are at a big bridge and you have to jump across all the steel girders (trying not to spoil it.) Then i had to re-install windows.

After that i completed the game. Then i completed again before i played Ep 1 to refresh my memory

It is a very long game, so it is understandable that some people don't get the opportunity to complete it for various reasons.

Could someone link me to this mod please? I have never been a big lover of mod packs. But if it improves textures i am all for it!

Half Life One, Half life One: Blueshift, half Life One: Opposing Force, Half Life One Deathmatch, Half Life Two, Half Life Two: Lost Coast, Half Life Two: Deathmath, Half Life Two: Episode One, Half Life Two: Episode Two. But I haven't completed Episode Two yet lol, haven't played in ages. I got to the bit with all the Walkers. I may play all of them in order from the start again lol, with all the Half Life threads popping up, it's inspiring me!

Man, that bridge part is just amazing. I love how huge the world is in that game.

Not quite sure where it is hosted, but it is huge. Took me a day to download it. I have cable.

I would recommend playing through the game BEFORE you install the mod. The guy changes what all the characters look like. It bothered me. I played the first level, then quit.

I own HL2, HL2 Episode 1, HL2 Episode 2, HL 2 Deathmatch. I rank HL2 and HL2 Episode 2 in my top 5 favorite games. Love them. Been through HL2 twice and Episode 2 twice. HL2 Episode 1 was okay... but my least favorite of the HL2 series. Beleive it or not though.. I never beat Half-Life. I do on it though.
