Make sure you don't have GOMPlayer installed.

Ironically, that's what caused my copy of Bioshock to crash.

also disable any virtual drives... SecuROM (those annoying people who i hate) throws a fit with those things if they are installed

I got bioshock recently, and it didn't like my system one bit. I had to put it into XP compatability mode just to get into the game, but now I'm running the Media Centre Edition Link from the install folder -MCE is the command, and it works (that said I'm not as far in as you are)

Who knows why, but I suppose you could always try it. Seems quite a fussy game, am glad I didn't get it off Steam, otherwise I'ld be staring at a blank screen.

Funny you'd say that actually, because I started doing some stability tests yesterday, and I'm back down to xxx edition speeds(730/1600/1130) - seems it just didn't like being so high, never noticed anything on ATi Tool before, but only tested it for about 5 mins at the high clocks.

My issue with bioshock remained even with stock settings, so might be something else, seems quite a few people had problems with sound.

Needless to say, am seeking my new stable OC.

Seems Dylan was doing a bit better than me to start with, now its crapped out on him. keep us updated, I'll be wanting to know how you solve this, as I'm expecting the worst for my copy

I crash right around the area where you pick up the shotgun, every time. Can't get past it. Runs flawlessly otherwise. Any ideas?
