OK so iv beaten the game and i was going through it a second time to get all the Intel dills , i had gotten 23 out of the 30 and shortly after the screen scrambles and i am forced to restart the cpu, ok so it starts back up and i start cod4 and low and behold all my saved progress is gone. so then i go to "My computer" and open up profiles- saves and there still all there but when i try to select that profile in the game it acts like its a new profile , no saves nothing, so if there still in the file how do i get cod4 to recognize them

cant figure it out i guess ill just have to download a completed game save file, o well

ya haven't thought about that , i downloaded it from direct to drive a week ago and assumed it would be the most up to date version, but im probly wrong , how do i check?

copy them into another folder(my documents) delete the cod4 profile folder. re create a profile and copy them back in. It might work it might not dont hold me to it.

i believe in order to of kept them you needed to start under a new user name if not it just overights the existing one with the new one

Copy the save games to your desktop, then delete the entire profile folder from the COD4 directory. Then go back in the game, create a profile with the exact save name as your previous profile, start a new game and save as soon as you can. Then quit the game, go back to your COD4 folder, you should have a new profile folder, extract your save games to the appropriate folder, and you can also the delete the "new game" save game file.

dang this is such a simple task but it will not recognize the save games,mine or the ones i downloaded , damit. and all my multi player progress is gone to
it must have something built in to keep people from doin this? i dont know

ok got my single player stuff back , i had to go into config files and set the resume start game to the last saved mission waho! what a pain, now iv got to figue out how to get my multyplayer back.
