It's pretty darn close, I think I pay 14.99 or something and dsl starts at around 19.99. I am 1.38 miles away from where dsl ends and that just sucks.

I remember I used to play demo of R6: Raven Shield. You literally had to fire a second ahead of anyone else.

Me?

I have a 16M/1M connection, and I virtually never play online-FPS games where my ping is over 60.

The only savior for dial up. Zoom hardware modems. Dropped my ping from the low 200s to around 140s in Quake 2. OGL almost wouldn't let me play on the HPB ladders.

If you guys are playing on servers with the max ping capped then why would you even care if the dial up guys are playing on other servers? I play cod4 on a broadband connection and could care less what the dial up guys are doing on servers that I wont even play on, who cares!!!
