COD4 for some "serious" gaming that gets boring after a little while.
TF2 for some lighthearted fun gaming that they keep updating with new achievements and class upgrades (the AXE-tinquisher just came out I think)

I like TF2 better but COD4 is a great game also. I just like the whole team play way that TF2 is setup.

It's simple, TF2 is arcade, so if u like fast paced games like Quake get it, CoD4 on the other hand is sneaky first person shooter.
