usually it will be in private servers, because I think that is the only way to search by host (it shows their username). The other servers (public ranked and unranked) just show event and some other stats.

i just made a Private Session.How to connect to it:
In game select Multiplayer then go on Play Online after on Private next select Session List and look for zer0 Cool.
Details about the race:

even if your ports are set up right, I don't think GRID will show it to us. If you make a private match, it gets put at the end of the list. For me, the list exceeds one page, but GRID doesn't let me scroll down, it just makes the matches list off my screen -.-
whens the next grid patch coming out? They may fix this...
