Default 1701 A.D. chipset support question

Hi all.

Aspyr states that the game will only support the listed chipsets in the manual/on the box. The top of their ATI list is the X1900 while the nVidia list is topped by the 7900.

I read that Aspyr is adamant that the game will not run on newer chipsets(ie: 2000 , 3000 & 4000 series ATI and 8000 & 9000 series nVidia cards).

Can you verify that ? Has anyone actually played this game on a newer chipset than the x1900 or 7900 series ?

Thanks ; LEE

There site says it needs a DX.9 compatable card which the newer cards are. Dunno what your reading..

Edit: Looks stunning for an '06 game.
