Default Need Help With New Games

K i have some really up issues with my computer here are the specs
Motherboard- Intel D915GAV
Processor- 3.06 Ghz intel(r) pentium 4 (r) no hyperthreading
Ram- 2 512 mgb Kingston pc 3200 and a corsair pc 2700 mgb ram
Hard drive- WDC- 150 ggb
Video card- HIS hd 2600 xt gddr3 256 mgb
Windows- Windows xp sp2

For some reason i cant run any of the new games and even downgrading resolution makes minumum difference for all the games i try and play. I always pass the minimum requirements and for some games i pass the recommended requirements and it still runs horrible. Such as Rainbow six las vegas 2 i play at 1024/768 at all low and medium and there is major lag, i have all of the drivers for everything can anyone help me out?

Its just that you have a weak system man, well not really weak just outdated. R6Vegas2 is a pretty darn intensive game. I am surprised that a 2600xt will even run it. Plus that processor if yours really isnt helping, and you the fact that your ram is not running in dual channel does not help either. a New video card and some nice ram might do you good.

What games are you having problems playing. Vegas2 is no joke, even though it really does not offer all that much in terms of graphical goodness.

I think your biggest problem is that ram not running in dual channel.

this is the reason your ram is not running in dual channel, and the reason it cannot run in dual channel is marked.
