I like my games to be somewhere in the 20-30 hour range unless they're something special like FFVII or FFX (my personal faves) where 40 hours is on the low-end. COD4 was a little too short but the well above-par story and good gameplay made up for it IMO. Games like ES:Oblivion are just TOO big for me to get into them.

Games are the collected efforts of a team of (hopefully) talented individuals. I enjoy seeing the different gameplays and art styles. I like to experience the game and move on to see what else is out there.

i've never thought a game would take me a whole summer, or even the rest of the summer starting now. CoD4 was short, but like the previous ones in the series it is more about the multiplayer.

best way to kill time is to find a mutliplayer game you are good at (and want to play often) and play that the most, but then switch it up every little bit and play the single player games you own.

i cant stick to just one game, im always playing through multiple titles at once.

realistically speaking, NFS:Carbon fits the bill perfectly as a game that just swooped by and left you wondering where the money went, although the Most Wanted singleplayer took quite a while because of the inclusion of the rap sheet, firmly placing it as the best of the last 5...

the only multiplayer i can really tolerate is team fortress 2, and that usually comes at the cost of malnutrition and my family missing me...

"Read reviews before you buy. Every single one I saw said the single-player was short."

"But I liked the short single player, most of the games I own don't get finished because they take too damn long and I'm not a teenager anymore with 60+ hours a week freetime to game. I'm lucky to get 20-25hrs with work and all that, but that is maximum, if I game as much as I possibly can."

"I have a girlfriend now though, so that number gets cut A LOT! The sex is worth it though. That is one game that is WAY more in fun multiplayer mode!"

i don't like reading reviews, for the simple reason that when i do read reviews, i'm often taken aback by how some things must be the reviewer's incompetance or inability to move their thumbs faster than an inch a minute...

of course, i watch zero punctuation, but that is more because it's 4 minutes of giggles before going back to cycling, watching "whose line" clips or staring at pictures of the scythe ninja-Cu thinking "why won't that cheque clear yet!?!?!?!?"

Rather have an epic short game than a tedious boring long one.
