Default Give GRID A Chance (keyboards work fine)

Well as I have seen so many posts on how bad grid sucks, her is my GRID Run With Keyboard

I think the game is great... Joined up wit a clan and been involved in races and having a blast..

So before you just discount the game on a few peeps having trouble driving.. give it a shot..

If you like driving/racing games, GRID is great...

I also love playing Online in the Michigan Demolition Derby what a blast

i love racing games.. and i think grid sucks. i don't mean to put it down, but i hated it so much that after two times playing it, i took the disc out of my xbox, cracked it into tiny little shards, and subsequently vacuumed the time pieces up. even then grid continued to pain me by making me step on its shards and bleed in one or two places on my foot.
BUT i'm getting another copy free with my HIS 4850, so i will give it another chance. i couldn't really give it a proper go after my xbox grid cracked itself completely by accident, by itself, without any help from me, and without my anger influencing its self-destruction at all.

yes for race day and grid world...

"SPEED BOOST" it is in the bonus section the Grid menu

although I leave it off, but it does improve lap times.... however it doesnt update them to the official list and doesnt work online..

I had a real hard time with grid when I started, tried the initial run about 10 times and gave up. Figured it was just not for me.

However after seeing the screens and vids popping up from it, it looked cool. so i gave it another shot. really the down side is controls, and being keyboard is all or nothing, you need to do alot of tapping to keep car controlled. Once I got the hang of it it was all gravy..

even recovering from spins, rather than just flooring it and fishtailing outa control, i tap the keybord and keep control

Traction Control in Driver Assists is a MUST

I tried it. Gave it tons of time and hated it. Its not that is has to do with a keyboard, but rather it has no customization. It felt like I was just being given random cars to race. I thought it was dull and retarded.

I got the Grid demo off some demo disc for my PC and tried it first with keyboard. I knew the game had somthing good going for it the second i saw how extremely detailed it was. Then I got into my first race, and it was hell. I never cursed so much at a game in my life. I finally got the hang of it but in the end purchased a Logitech MOMO wheel. Having a race wheel with force feedback really makes the game shine.
