Default Crysis Warhead Screenshot/Discussion Thread

List your settings, screenshot of them is fine too. And post screenshots of Warhead and Crysis Wars.

Omegas Crysis Wars server: 69.162.82.82:64100

For displaying your frame rate, like seen in my screenshots, go into the console and type:
Code:
r_displayinfo = 1
then click return. The frame rate and other information should come up in the right hand corner now.

Tweakguide

Quote:
You can enable a general form of built-in Antialiasing in the game which reduces overall jaggedness - including that of foliage - by blurring the edges slightly. This 'Edge AA' is available and enabled by default at High or Very High Post Processing, but you can turn it off or increase it by using the r_UseEdgeAA command, as covered in more detail in the Advanced Tweaking section.
Quote:
In general I recommend that you just use r_UseEdgeAA 1 to smooth out the jagged edges, rather than enabling any AA, as this gives the best combination of performance and image quality, especially since regular Antialiasing doesn't address the jaggedness of foliage at all, which is the most common complaint people have with Crysis' appearance.

This is set to all Enthusiast. Using the 8.9 drivers and they work great, but for some reason I get this feeling Crysis is still optimized heavily for NVIDIA. So, I won't be surprised if NVIDIA cards, which get beaten by ATI cards in other tests, do better in Crysis.

arent those FPS pretty low for the 4870X2?

IGN's review said that you can run the game at enthusiast settings 1680x1050 no problem... (although yours is at 19x12..) do you have AA turned on?

Those do look low for a 4870X2 I was hoping for 30+fps at least with no AA

Those look way low for a HD4870X2. I know it's an Nvidia bias game but wow!

Just went into CCC and noticed some settings were changed due to me installing 8.9. What does Mipmap do? Right now it is maxed out in CCC.

It's a process of processing textures and resizing them without creating artifacts, or something along those lines.

EDIT:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mipmap

Ooo, pretty close.
