Default [Crymod] Bustas Enthusiast Config (BEC) for WARHEAD by Bjustas

Just a new mod I came across in the crymod forums. Supposedly grants a 10-20 fps increase in crysis while maintaining enthusiast settings (minus the draw distance). I did not create this. It was created by the user "Bjustas". Give it a try if your not happy with your current Warhead performance. Ill probably try this tonight when I get home.

Bustas Enthusiast Config (BEC)

Hello,

I've recently finished the "Bustas Enthusiast Config" (BEC) which has been designed for Crysis Warhead. The config – while technically not "Enthusiast" – produces visuals that compare and somewhat exceed. The FPS gain his huge contrasted to that of the "Enthusiast" setting and visual loss is essentially nonexistent. All settings have been modified to exceed the quality of "Enthusiast" – except shadows and view distance which have been slightly decreased to improve the overall smoothness. The config is designed for higher-end systems; however the config will produce a visual/FPS gain regardless. The FPS gain in benchmark is a 15 - 20 FPS improvement.

+REP for you.

I've been trying numerous configs for the past few days (easily 15-20) and this is by far the best. I went from 20FPS in a 1440x900 window to 40 or so, with it never dipping below 30. Very nice find.

Great!, im glad you liked it. I plan on trying it out soon. Ive been working with the CCC config for the last couple days and it looks amazing. Im able to hover around 35-40 fps on warhead at 1920x1200 enthusiast 4x aa. How is the image quality compared to the original warhead coding? Also, are you using anti-aliasing at all?

It should work yes. It stores the same folders in your program files.

Image quality is pretty damn nice. As for AA, no, I have it turned off. I'm also running DX10 though. If I turned off DX10, I'm sure I could boost my FPS by a larger amount, thus allowing me to turn on 2x or 4xAA. I could probably turn it on now and get a minimal FPS reduction, but I think it looks fine without it for the time being.

You did open up the file and change the commands that change your resolution to 1280 x 1024, right? If not, then it was running at 1280 x 1024, which would explain it looking bad.

The config is okay I guess, it is heavily based on the CCC config, but with enough changes to be considered it's own config.
