For the head bob thing I'd just try putting the cs one on. Cs uses X-ray 1.5 engine and soc uses X-ray 1.0. It may very well work on the older game.

And as for oblivion lost, it's a close call. I would suggest vanilla first, because there are a few parts where it gets extremely hard in OL, due to the A-life basically brewing a perfect storm randomly. The learning curve in stalker is very long, so I would suggest doing vanilla first to bring your skills up to the level they need to be sometimes on OL.

ohhh, those are controllers. If the game spawns one of those guys near some humans it will zombify them and make them shoot you. RPG or gauss gun works nicely on them

Not an issue anymore on the head bob thing. The Oblivion_Lost mod took care of it, unless i am low on health. Then I get some ungodly swaying back and forth, haha. It also makes me a little sick but that just helps me stay focused on not taking that much damage.

How can I hold my breath while using a scope? I googled it and read where someone suggested to use 'maximum strength'? How would i do that? I guess one cannt hold his breath while sniping in this game?

Nope, you just put the reticule over the head and wait till the next time it lines up to take your shot. And just FYI, the OL mod takes out the crap accuracy that all guns have in the vanilla version. And watch out for the bloody controllers if the head bob thing bothers you. You'll have that extreme head bob thing for 10 minutes or so if he gets you bad.

That maximum strength is probably just a variable somewhere. If you really want it changed start looking around in some of the config files.

Eh didn't really read the entire thread, but i'll give my input.

2 Stalker games, Stalker : Shadow Of Chernobyl and Stalker : Clear Sky.

Shadow of Chernobyl was the scarier game, but it didn't look too great. There was alot of neat features and it was cool enough for me to replay 3 times.

Clear Sky improved on so much from the first game, it's not even funny. In a story sense, it would be interesting to play Clear Sky -> Chernobyl, but the problem with that is, once you play Clear Sky and you transfer to chernobyl, all the things you got used to in the prologue will be either missing (faction wars/improved graphics/fast travel/repair weapons and armor) or worse (AI/gun balance).

Definitely play the games in the order they were made. Not to mention one of my favorite parts of clear sky was seeing how the original game world was formed.

*SPOILER* (Taking over the military warehouses with the freedom squad was loads of fun, and really neat from a story perspective) *SPOILER END*
