Default Warhead does not support multi-GPU

Or at least it's refusing to in my case. I have SLI enabled and I've tried toying with nhancer (which is crap) Warhead will not display "MGPU" when using "r_displayinfo=1"

Enthusiast setting gets me 10FPS using 8800GT SLI.

Crysis gave me 30-40FPS. This game either blows, is not as advertised or there's something awry in my system. That, I doubt.

Why blame WarHead for YOUR problems. The game is amazing. I would start fresh. Uninstall nvidia drivers(go for the 178.13 drivers). Use Driver Cleaner Pro, Remove 1 video card then after the drivers are installed add the other one. When you reboot it should say SLi detected. Also make sure you overclock your processor to at least 3.2ghz. Its almost free speed especially with ur 45nm CPU.
Nhancer is great has fixed most of my games for me and FYI on my build which could be identical to yours if you overclock gets me around 25-35FPS average on enthusiast at 1680x1050 res. Using level 6 on this config http://www.incrysis.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=23117

Also make sure in bios that the primary video device is not PCI but PCI-E and that your ram timings and speed are up to spec. All this should have you back on your feet. PM if you have problems!

I guess the EA boycott is off, eh?

I would think it is something with your rig. There have been plenty of reviews and posts about Warhead and I have seen none that say SLI/Xfire isn't supported. I could have missed something, I suppose....

also big fix coming here, add -dx9 to your warhead shortcut so it looks like
Crysis.exe" -dx9 . This adds easily 20% to performance. I was gonna mention this in the first place since your using Vista and the graphic cards in your build are probably your weakest point, that and your PSU.

I'll try the .exe edit but I'm afraid I'm going to have to refuse that 8800GT SLI is a weak point.

lmao, he's asking for help, not a bashing on his system and the fact that his OG crysis is performing better than warhead...

both your OG crysis and warhead are using the same settings?

Cheers mate ^

Yeah, both using either Very High or Enthusiast. I even have a Crysis Benchmark thread around here showing off the advantages of 32bit/64bit and 8800GT/SLI wherein adding a second 8800GT effectively doubled performance.
