Default Black screen at start up.. again

Hey everyone, so ive tried everywhere else, but i always get good answers here. I have searched and found some threads on here about editing registry, but no luck.. so this is my last resort! thanks in advance

Im running vista ultimate 64 bit, 9800gtx+ and 6600 at 3.6..

When i try to run crysis, or bioshock all i get is the black screen but the music is playing in the back ground. The only way i have found to get past this is to hit alt+enter to window it, and then i can play it... But who wants to play in a windowed screen?
I also updated drives etc.. but no luck.. Any help? Thanks alot!

Yeah, I'd go for the card setting the refresh rate to high for the monitor
