Yes, yes... I know, it's old
![]() Last night installed WB2 on my sig rig and when I go into the game most of the graphics are missing... the game loads and I can see the background but there are no characters (hero, buildings, mines, trees etc. are all not there)... I can select my hero (there is this circle around nothing) etc. so everything is there... just not visible. I can't scavenge the internet currently because the works firewall blocks anything remotely game related and I was unable to connect from home last night (for some strange reason)... I installed and played the game on my laptop also running Vista Business, only difference is it is the 32-bit edition and my sig rig is 64... Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! edit: Post number 888... w00t!

I have the same issue. The game loads and music plays, but none of the units are visible. If I select, I see the unit circle but no unit.
I have 6GB of DRAM and installed in the D: drive in d:\Games\Warlords Battlecry II. I looked at the file Startup.log in the folder where saved games are - usually under your Document Home and called Warlords Battlecry II. The log shows memory as 0 MB and OS as blank. These may be an issue. The log seems to show the game starting and initializing correctly. I wonder if there is a issue with DirectX. I am running v 10. I have tried run as admin and compatibility mode to XP SP 2 (which I had before and it ran fine). No go. |
