i know what configs are, i just don't have the time for competitive play, and just pub.
i have no reason for it, as i have already been kicked from servers for 'hacking' i could not see this helping the situation

It's a config. Anyone can set their game up like that, the options are available to everyone. Surprise: it's not cheating!

Regardless, skill comes first. Someone who knows how to play will be able to beat someone who doesn't, given nothing more than a lowly 30fps and 150ping.

i find this useful, i am probably getting cod4 in the near future, and will probably use this (just got my 9600GT)
these configs that people use aren't just for "ZOMYGOD 942305982343 FPS"
they are for general stability, and smoothness. plus certain visual "enhancements" really hinder your ability to see some key things that you really gotta see.

these configs are not for "noobs" they are for people who want to maximize their gameplay, they are in no way cheats, they just ensure stability so your pwnage can be nonstop

Ye i been playing cod4 for about 8 months?

And i have only been playing promod for about 4?

I Have played in some tournies, where all the pro players use these kinds of mods which will let them , lets take an example snipe better.

In cod 4 when playing on max settings you get all kinds of stuff, blurr, fog, mist, smoke, leafs flying off, etc this in a war can really effect how you play and you losing the battle. Thats why PROMOD,PAMMODS Have been made just for gamers who take gaming on another level where they play with level 1 unlocks making the game more fair. This way they can test everyone, and with these configs the game is just much better played. All the best players use level 1 unlocks and perks, none of that drop a nade when your dead, or dead silence lol..

But yea, take it or leave it.

When i first stated playing COD4 i found extremely hard to spot the enemy in some maps because it was to graphically detailed and that's what makes the game more challenging. After days of play i got used to it. Using these kind of configs is cheating in way because u are less stressing your eye to see the enemy easy giving u an advantage. Thats why people still play CS 1.6.
