Default BF2 Delux wont install on Vista 32bit

My friend and I are trying to install BF2 delux on his laptop. He has Compaq Presario CQ50-215nr. It has 2gb ram, a GeForce 8200M G, and an AMD Athlon Dual Core QL-60 1.90 ghz, with all the drivers updated. We are using Vista 32bit, SP1 on an administrator account. When we run the installer we choose the language and what to install, it starts to install then it quits and says the Install Shield Wizard was interrupted before BF2 could be completely installed, your system has not been modified. To install this program at a later time please run the setup again. So far we havent been able to find anything anywhere. Anyone know what to do?

systemrequirementslab.com says that it is over recommended settings. With my old computer, it would install but wouldnt play because of my crappy graphics card, this will just barely start to install.

We opened up the CD and right clicked on the setup.exe and selected "Run as Administrator" and it did the same thing. So far the installation hasnt allowed us to select where exactly we want it installed, nor enter a CD key.

Make sure you uninstalled it correctly.
And make sure the Registry files are gone if you had a previous copy
I have a very similar model by compaq, and it worked fine for me.
It's definitely compatable, but it sounds like maybe a corrupted CD or somethin.
Check to make sure the CD is in good condition.
