TheDark, I haven't played it personally but I highly recommend America's Army, FEAR Combat and Combat Arms for LAN party games.

Quake Live is coming soon too.. I have been recently accepted for the beta. I can say its awesome, easy to navigate and has a ton of cool features like Skill matching etc.. Basically Quake 3 for free that runs from a web browser...

Quake live has been a source of frustration for me. Everytime I run it now, it tries to update, and forces me to go through that annoying warmup stage, even when you F3 out of it, it still forces you to complete the warmup match. If I escape out of that, it then crashes. Wasn't doing that until recently, seems like there's still a ton of bugs with it.

It was for a long time if you had Half-Life. I'm almost positive even if you bought Half-Life today, that you would have to pay for CS 1.6.

True. I have Half-Life on steam and when I tried that CS:S link, it reinstalled steam and messed it up. I had to dl the newest steam version and install over to correct the problem, but, yes, you have to buy CS 1.6 now, because, that's what it told me
