Project Torque had a major update (new update 02-03-09), and you can now create you own guild or "crew" as they would refer it to. It now has better graphics as well, and a few more maps. Check the movie in the 2nd post for a preview.

If you don't know Project Torque yet, it's worth a try if you like racing games. You basically race online, earn money, buy upgrades and other cars. It's free to play and you can download it here:

Rules:
- You must have an account of at least level 10 in order to join.
- Login frequently. If you haven't logged in for 21 days there is a chance you will get kicked out.
- Use the Crew chat in-game.
- Keep the OCN houserules in mind.
- Keep the races clean!

Project Torque frequently asked questions (FAQ)

How do I join the [OCN] crew once I'm in the game?
Click on Crew list from the main menu of the game, then search for "[OCN] Overclock Racing" or browse through the list.

How do I add friends?
Press Y until the chat is at it's largest size. Then click the search symbol, or click someones name and click the "+" button.

How do I use Crew chat without using the mouse to click on the tab?
Use the buttons "[" and "]" to switch between chat modes.

How do I donate RP to the team?
From the main menu, goto "Crew" and then click on "Respository". At "PP to deposit" enter the amount of RP you want to donate, then click "deposit".

How do I donate AP to the team?
In the shop you goto crew items, and there you can buy AP vouchers. When buying an AP voucher you can select the amount of AP you wish to donate.

Can I test a car before I purchase it?
Yes, if you goto the shop and select a car you can click on "test drive" and select a map.

How can I make the most money?
Explorer mode is the most profitable game-mode. To optimize this, buy Explorer Hack Pack II and IV and use them at the same time. When buying these packs, make sure to buy 30 at once, it is much cheaper then buying single ones. Add a double RP to this, and you might earn up to 20.000 RP per race!

Yeah it's free. You have to pay if you want to drive the licensed cars though (Toyota, Honda, Chevrolet, Mazda and some more). But most free cars are equal or sometimes better in performance, so it doesn't really matter.

I'm level 30 now, and haven't spend a single buck on it yet. Got like 10 cars in my garage

The car in that movie costs 250.000RP though

But class 1 cars are a lot cheaper, and cheaper to upgrade. You can basically change the looks (hood, bumper, sideskirts, spoilers etc.), and upgrade engine and bodywork and all that.
