The game that I posted shots of, same as most people here is Flight Simulator X (FSX). Its a non combat sim, so it mainly attracts the interest of Comercial Pilots and General Aviation. Agreed, IL-2 is fun stuff, especially with the damage models.

As for ratings all I've got is a basic British glider rating. I'd have bronz if I could add cable break training to my logbook, but never got the chance (was flying with the oxford uni gliding club for one semester while studying abroad, ran out of time and had to go back to the US with cable break training still outstanding). Its probably outdated now anyway (this was all in 2003). Once I'm done with school and making $$ I'll start flight training regularly and hopefully snag a ppl pretty quickly, then I'd really like to go on to add IFR and VFR CFI.

Anyone else that is hosting a fs flight online please let me know the name that it will be under what time and time zone days of the week you do it if on regular basis program being used to host thanks. It would be nice if we could always have someone hosting one 24/7 if the group grows thats what I would like to see.

Here are some IL-2 screenshots I took..the time control text is because I recorded this using IL-2's video function, and slowed it down to make the screenshots easier.

I was flying nose to nose to two 109's, and got a few good hits on the first one.


And I finally lined up to get a shot off at the second one..
