Is anyone hosting tonight? Just got my internet back up, I have Earthlink DSL and it's been down for TWO days, apparently all of Cali was affected. Meanwhile I've been practicing autopilot and IFR in jets in single player.

Just bought the Cessna Skylane 182Q by Carenado my goodness what a beauty.

btw do you guys think its worth to jump for fsx gold. i currently have the standard fsx.

In my opinion the Gold probably isn't worth it. Unless you are interested in the planes it adds or the races. I have always had gold, just because I found an awesome deal on it that made it just as cheap as normal FSX. So I don't know all the differences, but I don't remember Acceleration adding very much.

Anyone know of a good 747? I know most will say the PMDG one, but Im lookin maybe towards freeware, something that has a Virtual Cockpit too preferably.

POSKY is def. the best freeware model, but comes with no panel.
The 'iFly 747' comes with both a 2D and VC panel, but the model is pretty poor.

Can someone explain to me what's so bad about the stock planes? How is the freeware 747 better than stock?

Well, most default aircraft arent bad. I like flying the 737, but it seems like they decided to do a poor job on the 747. The VC was horrible imo, for the default 747.

I was just looking at POSKY, saw their 777 had a VC, thats a first for them that I have seen.
