The text book idea is when they open the door (have a text book open in front of you, or very near you) then when they come in, grab the text book and turn off the monitor.

1. Hear footsteps coming to your room 2. Turn off monitor quickly 3. Open textbook and pretend you're studying.

Well sound is going to be the big concern, a lot of time the sound can continue for a second or two after closing an app.
