so there it goes,
before i had windows xp and played mostly c-s 1.6. i had all commands to disable mouse acceleration under xp (-noforcemparms-noforcemaccel-noforcemspd. but now the problem is that i got a new computer and it has vista on it, i tried the commands, the cpl mouse fix, everything i knew about to get rid of the mouse acceleration, but i cant. What i wonder is that when i play TF2 (HL2) under vista, there is no mouse acceleration. but when i play cs1.6 i have mouse acceleration. i tried to get use to it but i cant :\. so if someone knows how to remove mouse acceleration in HL1 games under VISTA. help me ! ![]() i have vista home premium 32 bit FYI

Vista mouse control overrides almost all in game settings. You need to just adjust your mose movement speed in control panel -> mouse -> mouse settings.

I cannot remember the name offhand (because I don't use Vista) but the creator of AccelFix for XP also wrote a program for Vista.
It patches the main .sys file so that Windows' ability to create acceleration is corrupted forever. I'll do a little searching and get back to you, in the meantime just look for "AccelFix for Vista" or something... You know, that doesn't actually remove acceleration. It simply dumbs it down. Same with XP. You need a 3rd party program or to edit the registry to truly remove acceleration.
