There are several games that crash while I'm playing playing them. It's gotten to the point where I freshly installed several new operating systems. The operating systems that i tried are:
__________________Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit Windows 7 64-bit It comes up with an error message and says this program has to close. The games that closed and came up with an error message are: NBA 2K9 CoD:WaW GRID Crysis The only game that seems to work fine is Fallout 3. Could this be faulty hardware? Thank You in advance. All of my specs are in my sig. i also tried updating the drivers to the latest ones.

What is the exact error message? Is your rig overclocked at all? If so put it back to stock and see if you still get the crashes. If not run memtest like newt suggested. You'll need to burn that to a disc as a .iso file to run it.
EDIT: Here's a free .iso burner.

Have you set any voltages in bios? Try setting FSB to 1.35v or less & set SPP volts to around 1.30v. after your done with memtest see if setting these voltages helps. If setting these voltages doesnt help, set them to where they were. good luck |
